How to Build an AI Sales Page on PayLead That Actually Converts
PayLead can build a sales page from a short description of your offer. How to write the brief, what to edit afterwards, and the ten things every sales page needs to turn visitors into orders.
PayLead's AI sales pages let you describe your offer and get a page built around it, with checkout already attached. It's a fast way to go from idea to a page that takes payment.
But AI gives you a first draft, not a finished salesperson. The difference between a page that converts and one that doesn't is what you tell the AI, and what you fix afterwards. Here's how to do both.
Disclosure: PayLead and MediaWura are both part of Wura Group. See what PayLead is.
Step 1: Write a brief worth building from
The AI can only use what you give it. A one-line description gets a generic page. A proper brief gets a page that sounds like it knows your buyer.
Include:
- What you're selling, the price and what's included.
- Who it's for: age, location, situation.
- The problem it solves, in the buyer's words.
- Why yours is different: materials, method, guarantee, speed.
- The main doubts: fakes, size, delivery, whether it works.
- Proof you have: reviews, number of customers, results.
- Delivery and payment: areas, timing, MoMo, card, pay on delivery.
Weak brief:
Leather bag for women. GH₵ 650.
Strong brief:
Full-grain leather work bag for women in Accra and Kumasi, aged 25 to 45, who carry a laptop daily. Fits a 15-inch laptop. Hand-stitched, won't peel like PU bags. One-year guarantee. GH₵ 650. Delivered in Accra in 24 hours, pay on delivery available. Main doubt: will it last? 300 customers so far, average rating 4.8.
Step 2: Check the structure
A good sales page answers the buyer's questions in order. After the AI builds the page, make sure it has these ten sections.
1. A headline about the result
Not the product name. The result. See headlines that sell.
2. A subheading saying who it's for
3. A clear image or video of the real product
Use your own photos. See phone product photography tips.
4. The main button, near the top
5. The problem
Show you understand life before the product.
6. The benefits
Three to five, each backed by a fact.
7. Proof
Real reviews, real numbers, real photos. Never invented. See customer reviews and testimonials.
8. What's included, and the price
9. Answers to the main doubts
Delivery, payment, returns, authenticity.
10. The button again
Step 3: Edit like a copywriter
AI copy tends to be polished and generic. Go through every line and:
- Replace vague words like "premium", "quality" and "elevate" with specifics.
- Add your buyers' own words from reviews and chats.
- Check every fact. Remove anything the AI added that you didn't give it.
- Read it aloud. If it sounds like an advert from abroad, rewrite it the way you'd say it. See copywriting tips.
Step 4: Set up the checkout to sell more
- Payment options: turn on MoMo, card and, for physical products, pay on delivery.
- An order bump: a small, related add-on at checkout.
- An upsell: one more offer after payment.
- Cart reminders: on, so people who leave get emails and texts.
Step 5: Connect tracking before you advertise
Add your Meta Pixel with Conversions API and TikTok pixel in PayLead, then place a test order and check it appears in Events Manager. Your adverts then learn from real purchases. See Meta Pixel and Conversions API setup.
Step 6: Test versions
PayLead includes A/B testing. Try two headlines, two images or two prices and let the numbers decide. Change one thing at a time.
Common mistakes
- Publishing the AI draft without editing.
- Using stock photos instead of the real product.
- No price, or a price buried at the bottom.
- Too many products on one sales page. One page, one offer.
- Sending ad traffic before tracking is set up.
See landing page mistakes for more.
Want us to build it?
We write and build sales funnels on PayLead, then run the adverts to them. See our sales funnels service.
